Comprehensive/General Neurologist

The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Comprehensive/General Neurologist to join our practice.

Job Description

• Provide medical care in the outpatient setting.
• Conduct ambulatory evaluation and management of diverse patients with neurological presentations or symptoms that are not designated to a specific subspecialty practice.
• Collaborate with subspecialty support for patients diagnosed with a subspecialty-specific condition.
• Work within a department comprising 37 Neurologists with fellowship-trained expertise in various areas including cerebrovascular disease, behavioral neurology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology, sleep medicine, autonomic disorders, headache, neuro-ophthalmology, palliative care, critical care, and neuro-oncology.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills and appropriate interpersonal skills while working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of consultants and support staff.
• Contribute to the clinical educational mission of the Department, which is active in undergraduate and graduate medical education at the medical school, residency, and fellowship levels.
• Engage in clinical and translational research enhanced by established collaborations across Mayo Clinic sites.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
• Previous education and research experience is preferred.
