    Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapy Assistant

    We are looking for a full-time, dynamic, creative, and committed Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our interdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior analysts, child development specialists, behavior technicians, and marriage and family therapists at our Valencia and Tarzana locations. The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages birth to 18 years with varying disabilities.

    Job Description

    • Administer evaluations and assessments
    • Provide parent education and support
    • Collaborate with team members
    • Develop treatment plans and provide direct treatment to various client populations
    • Meet treatment requirements of various funding sources
    • Opportunities for supervising COTAs and fieldwork students

    Requirements

    • Previous pediatric treatment experience required
    • Must have a reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
    • Proof of immunization records and TB required
    • CPR certification is preferred
    • Must have graduated from an accredited OT master's or doctorate program
    • Certification through NBCOT required
    • State licensure through California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) required

    Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well as part of a team, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Multilingual is a plus.

    Physical Requirements

    • Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
    • Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
    • Sudden and quick movements may be required
    • Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
    • Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes

    Compensation

    • Occupational Therapist: $74,000 - $85,000 annual base salary, with biweekly and quarterly bonus potential up to $100,000
    • Occupational Therapy Assistants: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
    • Stipend for Feeding and Swallowing Certification
