A healthcare facility near Turner, Oregon is seeking a Neurohospitalist with expertise in Internal Medicine or Neurology for a locum tenens position starting in early 2025. This role is focused on inpatient consulting without critical care responsibilities. The facility is looking for coverage for 1 week each month, with shifts running from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and occasional weekend call coverage.

Job Description

• Location: Near Turner, Oregon
• Start Date: January 2025
• Specialty: Neurohospitalist (Internal Medicine or Neurology)
• Practice Setting: Inpatient consulting (no primary admitting service)
• Shift Times: Approximately 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call Coverage: 1 weekend every 8 weeks (24-hour call)
• Patients per Shift: 10-12
• Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes
• Support Staff: Includes RNs, MAs, and Advanced Practice Providers

Requirements

• Board Certification: Must be board eligible or certified in Neurology or Internal Medicine
• License: Must hold an active Oregon medical license
• Certifications: BLS required
• Skills Needed: Neurodiagnostic procedures, lumbar punctures, EEGs, thrombolytic therapy, and brain death exams
