    Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Services

    Join our team as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Services at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, a 100-bed, acute care facility that has been recognized as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the country five times in the past decade. This full-time position offers a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a night shift differential available and a sign-on bonus of $10,000 based on eligibility.

    Job Description

    • Provide direct patient care to critically ill adult patients in a 12-bed ER unit using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
    • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
    • Document patient care given.
    • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
    • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
    • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
    • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
    • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

    Requirements

    • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
    • Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Kentucky.
