Locum Tenens General Practice Physician (Correctional Health)

Join our team as a Locum Tenens General Practice Physician in Sacramento County, CA, serving at the Main Jail (MJ) and Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC). This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care to the incarcerated population while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Description

• Number of openings: 5 Physicians (M.D. or D.O.)
• Schedule: Day or night shifts, full-time or part-time, with a set weekly schedule preferred
• Duration: Long-term contract (3 years) with a minimum 6-month commitment
• Pay: $150/hour, malpractice covered
• Patient load: Patients per day in a clinic setting

Requirements

• Current CV
• Active, unrestricted CA Medical License (with verification)
• DEA
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• 3 professional references (name, email, phone)
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Minimum 5 years of medical practice experience

• Provide availability (days/shifts) & length of commitment
