MedCare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician for a full-time outpatient primary care position in Decatur, AL. Job Description

• Provide comprehensive primary care for adults and seniors with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Manage ongoing patient care and preventive health strategies.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR system (within 48 hours of each visit).
• Collaborate effectively with specialists, hospitalists, and care coordination teams.
• Supervise or collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as needed.
• Ensure adherence to all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Active and unrestricted AL medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• At least 3 years of outpatient primary care experience preferred.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Excellent communication, diagnostic, and patient-relationship skills.
