Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Join a well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery service line as a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon. This is an employed position through a major academic division, located in Columbus, Georgia, approximately 90 miles southwest of Atlanta.

Job Description

• Practice adult cardiothoracic surgery within an active inpatient and outpatient setting
• Provide exceptional clinical care and contribute to ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support clinical trials and innovations in adult cardiac surgery
• Participate in committees, peer review processes, morbidity and mortality conferences
• Manage patient workups and procedures in accordance with departmental standards
• Engage in clinical research and quality initiatives
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and rotating learners

Requirements

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Georgia
• Current DEA certificate for controlled substances
