Locum Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology
Join a dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in Lapeer, Michigan, seeking an Outpatient Radiation Oncology Physicist. You'll be covering essential operations in a supportive environment while enjoying the balance of on-site and remote work. The facility utilizes state-of-the-art technology, including the Varian TruBeam linear accelerator and the Eclipse treatment planning system, to provide high-quality patient care.
Job Description
- Perform routine physics reviews and maintain quality assurance procedures.
- Analyze plans conducted by therapists using portal dosimetry for patient-specific QA.
- Provide necessary support to the Lapeer operation while collaborating with peripheral support staff from Flint.
- Work on-site every Tuesday, with potential additional days based on quality assurance needs.
- Conduct chart checks and utilize working knowledge of IMRT, SRS, and related techniques.
Requirements
- Board certification in ABR or CCPM, with preference for local candidates.
- Experience in outpatient radiation oncology services.
- Familiarity with Eclipse treatment planning system.
- Strong skills in machine and patient QA processes.
License and Certification Requirements
- Current and valid medical physicist license as per state regulations.
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology is mandatory.
