    Locum Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Vascular Surgery

    Join a dynamic team at a premier facility located in Pueblo, Colorado! This medical center offers comprehensive care with over 250 beds and is recognized as a Level III Trauma facility. You will have the opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals, including APPs, medical assistants, and registered vascular technologists, all within a supportive work environment. The position requires a commitment to cover two long weekends each month.

    Job Description

    • Serve as the Vascular Surgery APP (first assist) during procedures.
    • Perform a variety of required procedures including:
      • First Assist
      • General Vascular Surgery
      • Endovascular procedures
      • Bypass procedures
      • Fem-pop and Aorto-femoral/iliac procedures
      • Peripheral interventions
      • Carotid, Thoracic, and Abdominal surgeries
      • Vascular access devices
      • Subclavian steal procedures
    • Utilize the Epic EMR system for patient management.
    • Coordinate travel requirements and submit lodging details in advance.

    Requirements

    • Board Certified (ABMS/AOA) - REQUIRED
    • First Assist Experience - REQUIRED
    • Active Colorado License - REQUIRED
    • Availability to cover two weekends per month (Thursday to Monday/Tuesday) - REQUIRED
    • COVID Vaccination - REQUIRED
    • Experience with the Epic EMR system, including the number of years used and the last date of use (MM/YYYY) - REQUIRED
    • Clean malpractice and background history - REQUIRED

    License and Certification Requirements

    • Current and active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Colorado.
    • Board certification from an accredited body.
