    Gastroenterologist - Inflammatory Bowel Disease

    The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), located in coastal Charleston, SC, has an exciting opportunity for a clinician-educator in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology with a direct focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease and an IBD Medical Home.     Job Description

    • Join experienced GI/IBD subspecialists in a regional, multidisciplinary IBD program with a patient-centered Medical Home.
    • Participate in IBD outpatient clinics, related endoscopy procedures, and research studies in IBD.
    • Work with a dedicated clinical support team of IBD-focused Advanced Practitioners, Behavioral Health Social Worker, Dietician, Specialty Pharmacy, 2 Nurse Coordinators, and administrative support.
    • Receive strong collaborative support from colorectal surgery, GI pathology, GI radiology, and Pediatric GI.
    • Be part of a highly collegial, 21-physician GI group comprised of general GIs, hepatologists, GI subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists.
    • Utilize an integrated practice model with a robust internal referral network.
    • Access GI-dedicated clinical research infrastructure with opportunities for significant research funding.
    • Benefit from 24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite.
    • Opportunity to teach; the institution supports a strong, 12-person GI fellowship and Internal Medicine residency programs.
    • No ERCP/EUS required.

    Requirements

    • Expertise and additional training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
    • Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology.
    • Experience in clinical trials.
