Respiratory Therapist, RRT

This position provides for the diagnostic and therapeutic care of the critical and non-critical pulmonary patient.

Job Description

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic care for pulmonary patients.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers, health system employees, and outside healthcare providers.
• Engage with patients, families, and significant others to ensure quality care.

Requirements

• Education: 2-year college program or equivalent experience in Respiratory Care.
• Licensure/Registration: RRT, RCP State of Illinois, RCP State of Iowa within one year, if applicable.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required.
• Special Training: Basic Life Support; ACLS, NRP, PALS preferred.

Working Conditions

• Very limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions; generally safe physical environment with minimal health risk.
• Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
