Pulmonary Physician Assistant

Methodist Medical Group (MMG), a premier physician-led organization affiliated with Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas, is actively seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to work directly with patient care under the supervision and collaboration with our dynamic and tenured Pulmonologist.

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as imaging, labs, and pulmonary function tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Assist with procedures such as chest tubes, thoracentesis, and trach management; proctoring available.
• Participate in the evaluation and management of patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension.
• No bronchus, vents, or ICU coverage.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Be accountable for your performance.
• Always look for ways to improve the patient experience.
• Be engaged, eager to learn, and take initiative for your professional growth.

Requirements

• Graduate of a PA accredited program.
• Certified by the National board certification with NCCPA.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities.
