    Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

    Methodist Medical Group is seeking a full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our OBGYN clinic in the southern sector of Dallas, where we are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families throughout their reproductive journey.     The ideal WHNP candidate will be a highly skilled and compassionate professional committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a strong focus on pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to positive birth outcomes and women's health advocacy.

    Job Description

    • Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and individualized care plans.
    • Conduct well-woman exams, family planning counseling, and gynecological care.
    • Monitor labor and deliver low-risk pregnancies in our Level III Maternity Center, providing support, guidance, and interventions as needed in accordance with scope of practice and established protocols.
    • Educate patients and their families on various health topics, including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and women's health.
    • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, initiating appropriate interventions and seeking consultation when necessary.
    • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
    • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Completion of a WHNP program
    • Current, unencumbered licensure as a WHNP in the State of Texas or eligibility for licensure
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
    • 2 years of recent, relevant experience as a practicing WHNP in a hospital
    • Must be able to demonstrate current competence and evidence of the performance of at least 20 deliveries, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, in the past 12 months
    • Demonstrated expertise in managing low-risk pregnancies and deliveries
    • Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
    • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Epic
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
