Pathologists' Assistant

Join our dynamic team as a Pathologists' Assistant in the Laboratory department. This part-time position offers 24 hours per week and is eligible for benefits.

Job Description

• Collect and prepare surgical specimens for examination
• Dictate gross anatomic features of specimens
• Assist with dissection and preparation of tissue sections
• Photograph organs and specimens
• Dictate clinical summaries and gross autopsy findings
• Assist in preparation of preliminary diagnoses
• Oversee proper maintenance and operation of instruments and equipment

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• ASCP certification as a Pathologist Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience, including Frozen Sections
• Knowledge of current AP Laboratory Information System
