Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking an experienced and dedicated per diem Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our expanding team. The department is focused on growing its orthognathic practice and is launching bone regeneration and implantology services. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NY.
Job Description
- Supervise and mentor Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents in both clinic and sedation settings.
- Provide guidance in clinical decision-making, patient management, and surgical technique.
- Operating room privileges available, though not required to cover OR duties.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree.
- Board eligible/board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
- Strong clinical abilities and surgical skills in outpatient, inpatient, and sedation settings.
- Experience in teaching or mentoring residents is preferred.
Benefits
- Per diem rate for this role is $160/hour.
