Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Montgomery, AL. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping patients improve their speech, language, and overall quality of life.
Job Description
- Conduct patient evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient-specific needs and goals.
- Provide therapy sessions, incorporating evidence-based techniques and assistive technology as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and swallowing techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Alabama SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (preferred).
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
