    Dental Hygienist - Full-Time

    Join our team at NDC-Dumfries, located at 3950 Fettler Park Drive, Dumfries, VA 22025. New grads and experienced hygienists are encouraged to apply! We offer a small team, an established office, and a family-oriented atmosphere.

    Job Description

    • Working environment that is positive with a focus placed on teamwork and patient care
    • 60-minute recare appointments and 90 minutes for new patients

    Requirements

    • Current dental hygienist license in Virginia and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
    • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
    • CPR Certification

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
    • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
    • Clinical needs as required by the office

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
    • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
    • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
    • A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
