    Full-Time NP/PA Urgent Care

    NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Columbia, Missouri. This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

    Our providers enjoy true work-life balance with no after-hours charting, flexible scheduling, and monthly schedules released in advance. Full-time clinicians are typically off more days than they work.

    You will be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer collaboration, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership that provides real-time support and mentorship. The clinical work is engaging and varied, serving a broad patient population with generally low-acuity presentations.

    Job Description

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
    • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
    • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
    • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management
    • Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly
    • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
    • Code and bill services appropriately
    • Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks
    • Practice in accordance with NextCare clinical standards and values

    Requirements

    • Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license
    • Board certification or eligibility
      • PA: NCCPA certification
      • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
    • Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
    • Ability to treat patients of all ages
    • Active BLS certification
    • EHR proficiency
    • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
    • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
    • Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)
    • Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
