Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our full-time clinical team in Greeley, Colorado. Job Description
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Code and bill services appropriately
- Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care required
- NP: Family Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or AANP required)
- PA: NCCPA certification required
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- Active BLS certification
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
- DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
