Position Overview

Join our team for an 8-week contract as a nurse working 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. This position requires 36 hours of work per week, although block scheduling is not guaranteed. You will be working in a unit with 56 beds, caring for adult patients (18+) with diagnoses in oncology, hematology, nephrology, endocrine, GI, dermatology, and general medicine. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.

Job Description

• Provide expert nursing care for complex cases including cancer diagnoses, ESRD, diabetes, and GI/abdominal complications.
• Manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds (sand beds).
• Maintain accurate documentation and medication administration via EPIC EMR.
• Flexibility to float to other units within the facility as needed.
• Attire: Navy blue scrubs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Med-Surg/Oncology experience with documented travel experience (required).
• Active NY RN License (plus NURSYS verification for all held licenses).
• Current AHA BLS, NIHSS, and chemo certification (required).
• Two recent MS Charge or Manager RN references.
