Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR Surgery
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in CVOR Surgery. Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off, spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. Come tour the historical sites, visit Key Cave National Wildlife Refuge, or take a relaxing lake cruise on Wheeler Lake.
Job Description
- Performs duties as assigned and requested.
- This position is for Open Heart Surgery. The RN performs initial and ongoing assessments of the patient's condition. Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Requirements
- Applicants should have a current state RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer; ACLS within 90 days of hire/transfer.
