Respiratory Therapist

Job Description:

• Administers all Respiratory Care modalities as ordered by physicians
• Primary areas assigned: critical care areas, NICU, emergency department, and general floor units
• Performs pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopies
• Performs bedside pulmonary function testing
• Acts as charge therapist when needed
• Delivers all respiratory modalities offered by the respiratory department
• Becomes a preceptor for students and new respiratory staff

Requirements:

• Experience: One year preferred
• Other: Current RRT from the NBRC
• License/Cert: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), RT (Respiratory Therapist)
• Education: Required: Associates - Respiratory Therapy
