Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is currently recruiting a Trauma & Acute Care PA or AGACNP to join our growing Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (TACS) service line. This opportunity is located at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, a verified adult ACS-COT Level I trauma center.

Job Description

• Join a not-for-profit health system serving more than 1.5 million residents across Northeast Georgia.
• Work in a 700-bed, multi-state regional referral Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with 7 double-boarded trauma/acute care surgeons and 4 orthopedic traumatologists.
• Benefit from 24-hour in-house APP coverage with 11 APP providers.
• Participate in a 16-bed surgical/trauma ICU with daily multi-disciplinary rounds.
• Work in a 32-bed dedicated TACS unit.
• Utilize a new state-of-the-art ED with six trauma bays.
• Manage over 227,000 ED visits annually (153,000 at Gainesville campus).
• Handle over 3,200 annual trauma patients in TQIP registry.
• Engage in over 2,400 Acute Care Surgery cases annually.
• Be part of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency Program.

Requirements

• Acute Care Certification (ACNP) required for NPs/Board Certification via NCCPA for Physician Assistants.
• ACLS/BLS certification.
• Strong team-oriented mindset and commitment to growth.
• Willingness to participate in outreach to rural hospitals and EMS partners.
