    Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner

    Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join our hospital-employed, outpatient Pediatric Endocrinology practice in Bangor, Maine.

    Job Description

    • Full-time role with flexible schedules for exceptional work/life balance
    • Manage patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, acquired hypothyroidism, type 1, type 2, and monogenic type diabetes mellitus
    • Potential to advance education into other areas of pediatric endocrinology
    • Work alongside two endocrinologists, one certified diabetes educator, two registered dietitians, one certified medical assistant, and one licensed practical nurse
    • Partner with an embedded pediatric psychologist who helps address the behavioral, mental, and lifestyle impacts of chronic and complex diseases for pediatric patients
    • Work directly with genetic counselors when obtaining testing for evaluation of genetic type diabetes mellitus

    Requirements

    • Board certification or eligibility
    • Eligible for a Maine license
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Desire to become part of a multidisciplinary pediatric care team
    • Commitment to collaboratively build pediatric endocrinology care practice expertise with dynamic on-site mentors
