    Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic MRI Technologist! This position is per diem and offers a flexible schedule. This individual will focus on high-quality service and will be the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

    Job Description

    • Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
    • Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure and makes appropriate physician contact for intervention
    • Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy
    • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns to patients

    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required
    • Two years of radiological/imaging experience
    • Prefer specific experience and training in MRI
    • Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment (this will be monitored by department supervisor)
    • ARRT license required
    • Current BCLS certification
    • Willing to take call/standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed
