Norton Pulmonary Specialists in Kentucky and Indiana is recruiting board-certified physicians trained in pulmonary care, sleep medicine, and critical care. This comprehensive practice is an integral part of Norton Medical Group, the employed physician practice division of Norton Healthcare. The ideal candidate will join a strong team of over 20 physicians and more than 25 advanced practice providers specializing in sleep disorders and critical care, as well as general and interventional pulmonary care. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) has designated Norton Pulmonary Specialists as an Accredited Center of Comprehensive Care, the only provider in Kentucky with care center accreditation from the PHA. All Norton Sleep Centers are accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine or the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
Job Description
- Custom mix of inpatient and outpatient opportunities available based on applicant's interests
- Multiple practice and hospital locations in Louisville, throughout Kentucky, and in Southern Indiana
- Opportunities to work with Norton Cancer Institute Comprehensive Lung Center
- Research support services available through Norton Research Institute
- Advanced practice provider first call structure covering nights, or nocturnist intensivists; weekend hospital call coverage distributed and rotated equally among hospital-based physicians
- Total compensation package to include:
- Protected base-plus model with productivity bonus option, relocation and continuing medical education funds, signing bonus for fellows and physicians located outside the market area
- General pulmonary critical care fellows or physicians with less than one year of experience are eligible for the physician recruitment incentive plan, which provides up to $100,000 over a five-year period
- General pulmonary critical care physicians with more than one year of experience will receive a $50,000 retention bonus at the end of their third year of work
- Annual bonus available based on quality measures
- Paid time off including six weeks paid vacation, one week for continuing medical education, and seven legal holidays
Requirements
- Medical degree/diploma
- Residency/fellowship certification
- Kentucky or Indiana medical license or license eligible
