Job Description

• The CT Tech performs all technical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services offered by the Computerized Tomography Department of Imaging Services.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure a smooth operation of the department.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
• Must be certified by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association as a Radiographer.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology as a CT Technologist, preferred.
• Must have reached a level of expertise in Computerized Tomography scanning through formal and informal training to independently perform CT procedures and instruct other technologists in the performance of CT procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform a broad range of diagnostic Radiology procedures required.
• Worker trait requirements include organization, decision-making, and effective communication skills.
• Emergency workload situations require the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work varying shifts and take call.
• Must have current BLS certification.
