Operating Room Nurse

What We Offer:

• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM with an occasional late day if a case runs over. Monday to Friday, no weekends, no major holidays, and no call!

• Department: Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), Operating Room (OR) position.

• Location: Hawthorne Surgical Center, 1999 South Hawthorne Road, Winston Salem.

• Unit Info: Some of the common procedures consist of Ophthalmology, Pain, and Podiatry.

Job Description

• Requires at least 1 year of recent OR experience. Candidates with Interventional Radiology experience can be considered as well.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Experience: One year of operating room experience.

• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required. ACLS and PALS preferred.

• Additional Skills: Must have a thorough understanding of the role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of the unit. Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age-specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
