    Academic Nephrologist

    The Department of Nephrology at the Ochsner Medical Center (OMC) in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking a full-time BC/BE Academic Nephrologist to join its growing practice. This position can be one of three paths: General Nephrology, General Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine, or General Nephrology and Interventional Nephrology. For combined positions, the distribution of effort is negotiable.

    Job Description

    • Enjoy direct patient care across the spectrum of a tertiary care for a Nephrology practice.
    • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in clinical research programs to enhance the quality and safety of patient care in a large multispecialty academic group practice setting.
    • Eligible for an academic appointment from the Ochsner Clinical School, which enrolls over 100 medical students per year and is affiliated with The University of Queensland (Australia).
    • Join a program with the largest Graduate Medical Education Programs in the state, where the Nephrology fellowship includes 2/3 physicians per year over a two-year program.
