Job Description

• Specialty: Critical Care, Pediatric Acute Care
• Location: Plano, TX 75024
• Schedule: Coverage scheduled + on-call optional
• Shift Description: Day, Night; Standard 5, Day (12 Hours) 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Block schedules available
• Duration: 13-week assignment
• Shift Time: 12-hour days and nights
• Pay: $130-150 per hour
• Additional Details:
  • NP or PA for PICU
  • BC/BE: BC - Will consider NPs and PAs
  • If provider is NP, they must be Critical Care certified; if PA, other certificates are acceptable
  • Dates needed: ASAP ongoing
  • Ideal locum candidates can provide at least 4-6 shifts per 4-week block; variable - days, evenings, nights, & weekends as part of a 24/7/365 coverage model
  • Weekend, night, and holiday work is shared equally among all team members
  • 12-hour Days/Nights; in-house night call responsibilities are shared among all team members who have completed orientation to nights
  • PICU: 6-8 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to the team at checkout as well as any new admissions assigned to the team
  • Specialty skills and procedures: Arterial line placement, Central Venous Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, Endotracheal Intubation, Lumbar Puncture, PICC Placement
  • EMR: Epic
  • Interview process/timeline from time of presentation: Name clear, candidate submittals, schedule a 30-minute virtual Teams interview and will confirm if they want to extend an offer after the interview
  • Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
  • Specific items needed: NPR certification; will also consider licensure candidates
