Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiothoracic Surgery

We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery to provide per diem locum coverage in Langhorne, PA. This role is primarily hospital-based and involves both weekday and weekend shifts with occasional on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

• Assist in Cardiothoracic surgeries
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Conduct pre-op physical exams and post-op care
• Suture removal, chest tube insertions, endoscopic retrievals
• Diagnose and treat illnesses
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care
• Hospital rounding duties
• Work closely with supervising physician, Dr. Maxim Gluhovsky
• Document in Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant
• Active Pennsylvania PA license
• ACLS and BLS certifications (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience, including vein and radial harvesting
• Must be local to Langhorne, PA (only mileage reimbursement is provided)

Schedule

• 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM + on-call hours
• Must be available at least one weekend per month
• Occasional weekday on-call responsibilities (Call ratio 1:3)
