Job Description

• Work at a high-volume center with specialized physicians including neurosurgical oncology, radiation oncology, neuropathology/radiology, and residencies in both neurology and neurosurgery.
• Academics promoted with multi-disciplinary tumor board, teaching opportunities (medical students/residents/fellows), and faculty cross-appointment with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Basic and translational research conducted in collaboration with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria Molecular Neuro-oncology laboratory.
• OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center is the only Illinois hospital with both an iMRI and a Gamma Knife in the same location.
• Located right on the medical campus, a brand new OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute to be complete January 2024.

Requirements

• Education: MD or DO.
• ABMS Board certified or board eligible in Neuro Oncology.
• Physician must obtain and maintain an Illinois state medical license.
• Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant neuro oncology research experience.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served.

Compensation Information

$417,000.00 / Annually - $432,543.00 / Annually. Full-time clinical base salary pay range for this position: $417,000-$432,543. Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
