Cardiac Anesthesia Locum Tenens

Join our team for a Cardiac Anesthesia Locum Tenens position located in Eastern Texas, just one hour from Shreveport, LA. This opportunity offers a full-time schedule with flexibility in duration and call requirements.

Job Description

• Duration: April 1, 2025, to December 2025
• Schedule: Full-time (considering 2-4 weeks per month minimum)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM
• Call: Alternating weekend call, 2-3 weekends per month; 1:3 for any cardiac need
• Post-call day: Locum will come in as usual to assist with starting the day. If there are no cases for the locum to sit as the morning progresses, the locum is free to go home and be on-call if needed. If desired, the locum can request to stay on to work with the lead physician that day.
• Scope: Cardiac and Cardiology; 1 day sitting hearts, 1 day in Cardiology, 1 day post-call. Straight-forward hearts that require TEE.
• Cases: Varies; about 180 hearts per year.
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified
• TEE-trained preferred but not required
• Credentialing: Estimated 30 days
