Pediatrician

Join our team in the beautiful Kenai Peninsula, Soldotna, AK. This position offers a great environment, especially during the summer months, with manageable patient loads.

Job Description

• Provide care for pediatric patients, attending high-risk births (c-sections or high risk) and admitting pediatric patients on med-surg up to 18 years old.
• Manage a patient volume of between 2-5 census daily.
• Common reasons for admission include mental health issues and RSV.
• Stabilize patients until the transport team arrives to ship to Anchorage.
• Perform procedures such as drawing blood off the umbilical artery and intubations as needed.
• Participate in a call schedule of 1 week per month, with call from 7 AM Monday to 7 AM the following Monday.

Requirements

• Must have NRP certification.
• Boarded in Pediatrics is required.
• An Alaska license is strongly preferred, but open to licensing candidates who meet the other requirements.
