Emergency Medicine Physician

Join our team for a locum tenens position located 1 hour and 30 minutes south of Chicago. This opportunity is available immediately and ongoing until June 30, with the potential to extend.

Job Description

• Schedule: 8 a.m. to 8 a.m., 24-hour shifts
• Flexible in terms of shifts per month/scheduling based on your availability
• Patient volume: 350/month in the emergency department and 375/month in prompt care (urgent care)
• Scope: Routine emergency department work; we stabilize and transfer out as we are not a trauma level facility
• Covering prompt care (urgent care) that is adjacent to the emergency department and staffed by ED staff and physicians
• EMR: Athena
• Hospital: 60-bed, short-term acute care hospital
• Support from nurses and unit secretaries

Requirements

• Must be board eligible; board certified preferred
• Illinois medical license, Illinois CSR & DEA
• ACLS & PALS certifications; ATLS preferred
