Cardiac Surgeon

We are hiring an experienced Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon to be an instrumental part of our hospital cardiac surgery program! Join a reputable hospital in Upstate New York with excellent patient outcomes and reputation! The program is budgeted for 4 cardiac surgeons and will consider a J1 Visa Waiver Candidate. The program has been doing cardiac surgery since the 90s!

Job Description

• We are looking for a strong surgeon as we are the only surgery program in the area and did about 400 cardiac surgery cases last year, planning to do a lot more with more surgeons adding to the team.
• Closest program is over 1+ hour away, providing lots of opportunity.
• We have 3 new mid-levels with about 2 years of experience and are looking to keep growing the program.
• All cardiac except LVADs (which we would like to eventually do since we do follow post-LVAD patients already) and transplants (never).
• We also do thoracic surgery and have a robot that one of our surgeons uses for thoracic procedures, so that is available.
• No vascular surgery; we have a few vascular surgeons here that do that work themselves.
