Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants - Cardiothoracic Non-Operative Roles

We are hiring nurse practitioners and physician assistants for cardiothoracic non-operative roles in the cardiothoracic step down and clinic area of specialization! Will consider advanced practice providers from other specialties! Work with a top-ranked cardiac surgery program in beautiful Raleigh, NC! The schedule for these positions shall be working 7 out of every 14 days—excellent quality of life schedule! No on-call as well!

Job Description

• Responsibilities of these roles shall be 100% cardiothoracic stepdown, floor, and clinic. No ICU duties.
• The advanced practice provider shall be responsible for providing 24/7 in-house care.
• During business hours, the provider will work with our existing inpatient NPs to care for the floor and stepdown patients, but also help in the clinic.
• The remainder of the time, the advanced practice provider will be in-house to round on patients, respond to issues or questions from the nurses, review orders and charts, help ensure adherence to clinical pathways, and prep patients for discharge.
• Also perform histories and physicals (H&Ps) and consults.
