Locum Inpatient Gastroenterologist needed in NJ! A well-established hospital in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient locum tenens coverage beginning in January 2026. This opportunity offers consistent scheduling, flexible block options, and the chance to work alongside a strong hospitalist and intensivist support team.

Job Description

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts + emergency on-call
• Coverage: 7 days/week, 2 weeks per month
• Setting: Inpatient-only, Epic EMR
• Average Census: 5-10 patients per day
• Solo provider model with full access to hospital support services

Procedural Scope

Perform a broad range of GI procedures, including:

• Diagnostic & Therapeutic ERCP
• EGD, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Colonoscopy
• Esophageal Dilation and Stent Placement
• PEG Placement, Paracentesis, and Tumor Ablation
• Management of GI Bleeds, Pancreatitis, and Peptic Ulcer Disease

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active New Jersey Medical License
• ACLS Certification
• Comfort with inpatient consults and procedures
