Palm Health Resources seeks Internal Medicine residency trained physicians to join a thriving, rapidly growing hospitalist practice in Southeast Alabama. The facility, a 420-bed regional referral center, manages its own hospitalist program. Currently, the practice comprises over 25 full-time board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. The staffing model for the Nocturnist shift (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) consists of 2 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners. Serving a diverse patient population spanning various age groups, socio-economic classes, and ethnicities, the facility provides ample opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Description

• Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to the ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in-hospital consults
• Admit and co-manage with intensivist support adult patients in critical care
• 24/7 pulmonary/critical care support for all CC admissions
• 24-hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including the presence of in-house radiology physician 24/7
• 12-hour work shifts, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
• Minimum requirement is 12 shifts/month
