We are hiring Pediatric Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners in the heart of Texas to support an outstanding Children's Hospital during their expansion of the Pediatric ICU. If you are a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for an awesome locum, locum to perm, or perm opportunity, our team is growing.

Join one of the leaders in the country in a locum capacity starting at 13 weeks with a definite extension for at least 9 to 12 months. We will pay for your flights to get you there, rental car, and lodging. The candidate must have at least one year of pediatric critical care advanced practice provider experience. This is a well-rounded program with an exceptional team! You would be working in a large 40-bed PICU that is doubling and potentially a brand new PICU in a sister location as well.

Job Description

• Routinely perform lumbar punctures, femoral central venous line placement, peripheral arterial line placement, and rarely pigtail chest tube insertion and intubation.
• Must have ventilator management experience. Servo ventilators, LTV, and Trilogy vents are the vents the candidate would use.
• Commitment: Full-time coverage with 12+ shifts every four weeks, or a minimum of 6 shifts, providing flexibility.
• Shifts: Locums will be required to work day/night, holiday, and weekend shifts.
• Shifts: 13-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Licensure: Texas 'in hand' is highly preferred; will consider candidates who are "in process."
• Quick emergency credentialing in under 2 months.
