Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or NP/RNFA

Palm Health Resources is hiring experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or NP/RNFA in Baltimore, MD for a 3-6 month locum contract!

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner/RNFA will work in the Cardiovascular surgery department and be proficient in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting. Maquet Hemapro is the harvesting system used, with 6-8 cardiac surgery cases per day. EPIC is the system we use.

Job Description

• Work four 10-hour shifts, with one weekly night on call and weekend call required (Friday night through Sunday) in a rotational on-call schedule with current team members.
• 5 years of vein harvesting/OR experience required, specifically with the Hemopro vein harvesting system.
• Can be PA or NP/RNFA (RN first assist certified).
• First assist/second assist responsibilities.
• VAD/transplant/ECMO experience required.
• Contract initially starts at 3 months, but if the assignment goes well after the first week, there is potential to extend for a 6-month duration.
