    Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care Endocrinology

    Parkview Health is accepting applications for a clinical pharmacy specialist in ambulatory care endocrinology in Noblesville. The clinical pharmacy specialist in ambulatory care will provide direct patient care to patients in the ambulatory setting, ensuring safe, cost-effective medication therapy and optimizing pharmacotherapy plans through disease state management programs and collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) protocols. This position is in collaboration with Riverview and is located in Noblesville, at 395 Westfield Rd, Suite D. This position has both a clinical and patient engagement component. The pharmacist, with assistance from an offsite technician navigator, will facilitate medication access and affordability and the growth of retail pharmacy services. Co-management of endocrinology disease states, including complex diabetic patients (management of insulin pumps, U-500 insulin, etc.) is another essential component of the role.

    Parkview Ambulatory Pharmacists practice at the top of their education. Support for service growth and development is facilitated through a dedicated leadership structure, including an Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor, Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Manager, and Director of Ambulatory and Retail Pharmacy Services. Ideal candidates will be passionate about growing and developing ambulatory care services as well as precepting learners, highly competent at developing relationships with patients, care teams, providers, and co-workers, and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.

    Job Description

    • Provide direct patient care in the ambulatory setting

    Requirements

    • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
    • Completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency
    • PGY2 residency in Ambulatory Care is highly preferred
    • Pharmacy licensure or eligibility in Indiana
    • High level of clinical practice skills
    • Enthusiasm for teaching and personal growth
    • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, health professionals, and patients
    • Board certification in Ambulatory care required within 2 years after hire
