Medical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
Penn State Health is recruiting a dynamic and experienced Medical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) to lead the strategic and operational direction of the OB/GYN services within our Community Practice Division. This position plays a vital role in shaping the quality, efficiency, and growth of women's health services across our practice sites. The Medical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology reports to the Senior Vice President, Penn State Health Medical Group.
Job Description
- Provide leadership and oversight of medical operations, clinical services, and care delivery within the OB/GYN community practice division.
- Lead recruitment, evaluation, and onboarding of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs).
- Oversee practice performance in key areas such as clinical quality, patient safety, access, patient satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
- Partner with administrative leaders on budgeting, strategic planning, and implementation of system-wide initiatives.
- Maintain a clinical presence by delivering general OB/GYN care at Lancaster Medical Center, ensuring alignment between leadership and frontline care.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school required.
- ACGME accredited residency training in OB/GYN required.
- Board-certified in OB/GYN.
- Eligibility for permanent, unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania required.
- Previous administrative and management/leadership experience required.
- BLS required.
- Two (2) years of experience in OB/GYN required.
