Medical Hospitalist

Provide medical hospitalist and medical house services under the supervision of on-site hospitalist physicians. Responsible for history and physical exams, admits, discharges, and rounds for both the hospitalist service and for the private attending staff (as requested). Will provide cross coverage as needed/requested by nursing and medical staff. Perform consultations on psychiatric patients. Rounding on assigned medical hospitalist patients and on patients as requested by facility medical staff. Compliant with all MDICS quality initiatives.

• Competently perform consultations on existing patients
• Provide cross coverage support as requested by medical staff
• Round on existing hospitalist patients and on facility medical staff patients as requested
• Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
