Staff Nurse - Cardiac Care Unit
Piedmont Eastside's Cardiac Care Unit is an 18-bed unit specializing in the care of both cardiac and vascular patients. The typical patient population found in the CCU includes, but is not limited to, patients with diagnoses of chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, CHF exacerbation, hypertensive emergency, pulmonary embolism and/or DVT, and patients that have had AAA repair and carotid endarterectomy. Our unit is an intermediate/step down unit. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:4 when caring for these patients. Our nursing staff work closely with both our cardiology and vascular teams to ensure exceptional care for our patients. Job Description
- Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- New Graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
