About the job
Cardiac Observation Unit Nurse
Join our team at Piedmont Eastside, a full-time night position in a 6-bed cardiac unit specializing in the care of observation status patients. The typical patient population includes patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, NSTEMI, as well as the occasional overflow patient admitted for dialysis, syncope, etc. Nurses working in this area must be competent in rhythm recognition and cardiac catheterization recovery, including TR bands. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Our team shares a space with the ARU and works closely with them, occasionally assisting with their outpatient preoperative care and recoveries. If you are interested in working with a fun-loving and close-knit group of healthcare professionals, then the cardiac observation unit is the place for you!
