Paramedic

Join our team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in the Emergency Department. This full-time position offers day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, with weekends and holidays required.

Job Description

• The Paramedic, under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician, is responsible for facilitating age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care.
• Maintain a safe environment, educate patients and their families, collect information, communicate effectively, and utilize technology.
• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health care services and tasks.
• The role also includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and oversight of unlicensed personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum education required: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum experience required: None.
• Minimum licensure/certification required by law: Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required; National Registry preferred.
• Additional qualifications: BLS certification; must be ACLS certified or able to become certified immediately.
