Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership, and professionalism in the ED.

Job Description

• Coordinate all patient care activities in the Emergency Department.
• Serve as a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure efficient and safe patient care delivery.
• Delegate workload appropriately and model teamwork, leadership, and professionalism.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• One (1) year of Emergency Department experience as a registered nurse (RN).
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred.
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects.
