Staff Nurse
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

- Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- No experience required; new graduates of a nursing program eligible (Required).
- Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred).
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred).
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (Required).
- BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required).
Licenses and Certifications
- Cardiac Tele: ACLS Certification (Required within 180 days).
- Critical Care: ACLS Certification (Required within 180 days).
- Dialysis: CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) (Preferred).
- Emergency Department: ACLS and PALS Certification (Required within 180 days).
- Infusion/Oncology: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (Required upon hire).
- Pediatrics: PALS Certification (Required within 180 days).
- Surgical Services: ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Required within 180 days).
- Women's Services: Various certifications including NRP by the end of orientation period (Required within 180 days).
