Surgical Technologist

Sign-on bonus available. Join our team at Piedmont Henry Main OR as a Surgical Technologist, working full-time weekend days.

Job Description

• Facilitate patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Function as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Assume additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serve as a resource.
• Function on a more global level and be more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Requirements

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required and graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• Work Experience: 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification required, or in lieu of degree, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required.
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure current GA LPN License, if applicable upon hire required.
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist upon hire required.
